Client: The Department of Corrections 
Location: Auckland

In response to New Zealand’s increasing prison population, the Department of Corrections invested in a number of medium-and long-term options to meet capacity and service requirements. These form part of its Prison Capacity Programme for which White Associates was appointed the sole Cost Advisor. One of the projects in the programme was the construction of a new building, building C, at Mount Eden Correctional Facility which houses 245 inmates. The complex project needed to meet the needs of the Department, its staff and its inmates both now and long into the future –and takes into account a multitude of security requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities: 
Full quantity surveying services – including master planning, business case inputs, standard pre contract estimating services, procurement advice, tendering assessment (price and non-price evaluation) and post contract management services.
